Adult ADHD Evaluations

While ADHD is often thought of as a childhood disorder, some adults may have ADHD but have never been diagnosed. As noted by the CDC, there is no single test to diagnose ADHD, and many other problems, such as sleep disorders, anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress, and certain types of learning disabilities, can also have symptoms similar to ADHD.

Undiagnosed, untreated ADHD in adults can cause difficulty at work, at home, and in relationships.

Adult ADHD Evaluations – FAQ

Some clients notice they struggle with maintaining attention, completing tasks, staying organized, or sitting still. If you have tried to manage these symptoms but nothing you have tried works, it may be worth having an ADHD evaluation. Other clients are referred by other providers such as primary health providers, psychiatric medication providers, or mental health counselors.

We begin with an initial interview, conducted by phone or occasionally by video. We will then schedule a three-hour block of time to conduct a detailed clinical interview and have you complete a standard set of Adult ADHD testing, which includes paper and pencil questionnaires as well as computer-based testing.

Our standard flat fee for an Adult ADHD evaluation is $1,200. This includes up to two testing sessions, a feedback session, and a written report. Additional fees may be charged for any testing required beyond our standard testing.

There are many benefits to Adult ADHD testing. The product we provide is a written report with recommendations, which you may use for seeking medication management, therapy, or workplace or academic accommodations. However, beyond the recommendations found in our reports, understanding your diagnosis, whether it is Adult ADHD or another diagnosis, will help you find appropriate strategies to address your symptoms and live your fullest life possible.
